Welcome to the Thames Valley Appliance Management Service. This is a new NHS service that is responsible for issuing prescriptions for stoma, catheter and/or transanal irrigation related products for people living in the areas covered by the Thames Valley Integrated Care Board. Stoma, catheter and transanal irrigation products include all products, accessories and associated additional products (for example, barrier spray, and adhesive remover).

The Thames Valley Appliance Management Service has been set up to enhance the care that people using stoma, catheter and transanal irrigation products receive. Having your stoma, catheter and/or transanal irrigation prescriptions provided by a centralised service, run by a team of specialist nurses, means that you will be able to access the right clinical support when you need to. Your prescriptions will be authorised by our specialist nurses, who will be able to ensure that you are ordering and using the best products for your particular needs.

If you feel that you need the advice and support of a nurse at your local hospital, you will still be able to access your current stoma/urology nurse.
